Prior to the commencement of the Sprint, a delay of 10 minutes occurred due to heavy rainfall. Unfortunately, the adverse weather conditions caused Leclerc to spin off the track, resulting in his withdrawal from the sprint race. Numerous drivers reported significant visibility issues, citing the rain and spray from the vehicles ahead as major contributing factors.

Kimi Antonelli fought fiercely for first place instead of conceding the position, which ultimately caused him to run wide and re-enter the track in fourth place. This allowed Oscar to lead in first, while Lando capitalized on the situation and slipped into second behind him.

Fernando Alonso's crash occurred when Liam Lawson made contact with his rear tire, causing Alonso to spin into the wall. This incident triggered the deployment of a safety car while Oscar was accelerating down the straight. As a result, Oscar had to reduce his speed, allowing Lando to emerge from his pit stop in provisional first place.

Carlos clipped the inside of the wall on the tight chicane.

As Antonelli exited the pit lane, Max Verstappen was released by the Red Bull mechanics directly into his path. This resulted in damage to Verstappen's front wing, leading to a subsequent 10-second penalty for the driver.
