You either love it or you hate it.

P1- Charles Leclerc

This win had been a long time coming for Leclerc as it is his first since 2024! The past few weekends had been disastrous for Leclerc, but it all became worth it on Sunday.

Leclerc secured P2 in qualifying, placing himself ahead of his teammate but behind Kimi Antonelli's Mercedes, who is the current championship leader.

Immediately off the line, Leclerc and Hamilton overtook Antonelli, which began to open up a lead over the Mercedes driver.

On lap 26, Leclerc pitted for hard tyres and re-joined in P2, 17 seconds behind Antonelli.

On lap 35, Antonelli pitted for new tyres and came back out behind Leclerc.

Leclerc was quickly being caught by Antonelli, until lap 41 when Kimi had problems, which meant Charles was not under any immediate threat.

On lap 48, a safety car was brought out, so Charles was able to pit and still be in the lead

Lap 52 Leclerc crossed the finish line P1 behind the safety car.

P2- George Russell

After qualifying in P4, right behind his teammate who secured P1, Russell needed a race to demonstrate to himself and others that he was equally capable of winning a championship as Kimi.

Lap 34, Russell suffered a puncture which forced him to pit and drop back in the field.

Lap 41 - 48, Antonelli ran into a problem with his car, causing him to drop back in the order, and Verstappen crashed. At this point, Russell was P6.

Lap 48, the safety car comes out. Everyone pits apart from Russell in P6, who feels he has nothing to lose by staying out. This proves to be the right decision, as George is boosted up to P2 between both Ferraris. Hamilton is unable to overtake George behind the safety car.

Russell crosses the line in P2.

P3- Lewis Hamilton

Silverstone is undoubtedly Hamilton's preferred race of the season since it's his home event, with thousands of fans cheering him on as he drives by. All this is a big push for Hamilton to perform well.

Lap 1: Hamilton overtakes Antonelli, which allows him to build a gap until Hamilton is smacked with a 5-second time penalty for a false start.

Lap 24: Hamilton serves his penalty and returns to the track in P5.

Over the next few laps, Russell and Hamilton continue to swap through each corner.

Lap 34: Russell suffers a puncture but still manages to fight against Hamilton and Verstappen.

Lap 35: Russell pits, leaving Hamilton ahead and now able to fight Verstappen.

Lap 38: Hamilton overtakes Verstappen. Hamilton is now P3 with Kimi ahead.

Lap 41: Kimi drops down the order. Hamilton is now P2.

Lap 48: The safety car comes out. Ferrari assumes the safety car will come in, so they pit both Charles and Lewis to give them an equal chance at P1, but Lewis comes out behind Russell and is unable to overtake under the safety car.

Hamilton crosses the line in P3.
